Exterior Replacement

Asbestos can create serious health concerns and potential liability issues for property owners, which is why many people are choosing to have it safely removed from older homes.

For this property, our client opted to remove the asbestos cladding and soffits while also completing an interior makeover, installing new insulation, and replacing the roof, fascia, and spouting. All exterior windows and doors were upgraded to double-glazed aluminium joinery.

These works not only transformed a tired older house into a fresh, modern-looking home, but also helped extend its lifespan, improve overall performance, and bring key areas closer to current building standards. The upgrades also contributed to a strong increase in the property’s value.

Hamilton Central renovation

This major renovation began with an already beautiful home, but our client wanted to reshape it into something more personal, practical, and refined.

The project involved significant layout changes across both levels, including removing internal walls, adding a new bedroom, ensuite, and walk-in robes, and carefully managing asbestos works through specialist contractors to ensure a safe site.

Upstairs, sagging fibrous plaster ceilings were lifted, re-plastered, and repainted, with colonial trims installed throughout. The original aluminium joinery was replaced with new cedar double-glazed joinery, complete with decorative corbels, sill facings, custom soffit scotias, and a full exterior repaint.

Downstairs, we added a new bedroom, reworked the bathroom layout, opened up the kitchen and dining areas, completed engineered structural upgrades, installed new oak hardwood flooring, and carried out a full interior remodel.
